A toy gun at a high school in Coweta County in Georgia sparked a large police response on Feb. 5, according to WSB-TV. The incident began with reports of a person with a small gun on the campus of the Central Education Center around 12:30 p.m.
The Newnan police department and Coweta sheriff’s office swarmed to the school to investigate. Police later said that they were able to secure the school and determined that a student had a keychain with what appeared to be a small revolver on it.
Students noticed and reported the keychain as an actual firearm. All the people who were involved in the incident were relocated and the investigation will be completed. “There was no threat to the school, staff and students,” police said, writes Yahoo News.
There were many armed vehicles but no one was harmed during the investigation and it was believed to just have been an accident.
