Editor’s Note: The following article contains spoilers for the newly released footage of Stranger Things season 5, episode one.

The wait for Stranger Things season five has been long, over three years to be specific.  Finally, it is about two weeks away and Youtube got the first footage of the actual show. Stranger Things season five will be released in three volumes.

Netflix posted on Youtube the first five minutes of the first episode. The episode starts from the beginning of the show, when one of the main characters, Will Byers is in the Upside Down trying to escape from a demogorgon. He gets caught and taken to the main villain, Vecna. It’s clear that Will was connected with Vecna from the start.

The release dates are more complicated than expected, according to talkandroid. The first volume will be released on November 27, at 2:00 am. The next volume is December 26. The final volume will be released on New Year’s Day. In the show’s timeline, season 5 will take place about eighteen months after the events of season four. 

Stranger Things is currently one of the most popular TV shows on Netflix. It is absolutely iconic and has had a long wait to end. Now, it’s finally coming soon.
