Jolie Flack, Columnist
Jolie Flack has lived in Arizona her whole life. She is an eighth-grader this year and she has been at Horizon Honors since 4th grade. Flack is entering her second year as a columnist for The Horizon Sun. She is excited to be in Journalism again this year, and can not wait to grow in her writing skills while also meeting new people.
Flack recently started playing guitar, and is taking Guitar 1-2 as an elective. While she is not at school, Flack likes to draw, preferably on the app Procreate, because she wants to be a surface designer when she grows up. Flack also likes to read, some of Flack’s favorite books include “Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus,” the “Series of Unfortunate Events” series, “Wonder,” and “Out of my Mind.” Flack has started taking aerial classes this year at Vertical Fix and loves it. Her favorite apparatus is the trapeze, and her second favorite is the hammock. She also loves to spend time with some of her friends and family. Flack also has one Russian Blue cat named Tuck who she loves very much. Flack can not wait to see what’s in store for The Horizon Sun this year.
