Salads are a healthy and delicious dish for any gathering. They are efficient and a healthy way to boost vegetable intake and fiber. Many people have different ways of making a salad, some like to put certain types of meats, nuts, and even fruit in their salads. This recipe is very simple to make, but still delicious when ready.
Ingredients:
8 oz feta cheese
2-4 heads romaine lettuce (depending on amount of serving)
5 roma tomatoes
1 red onion
1 ½ cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing
4 pieces of ciabatta bread (optional)
Instructions:
Wash the lettuce, onion, and tomatoes. Set aside and wait 1-2 minutes for the ingredients to dry.
Once dried, grab a knife and begin cutting the lettuce from the top. As you continue cutting, cut the stem piece off.
Grab the tomatoes and begin cutting the tip of the tomato. Continue to slice the tomato, then cut the slices into four pieces each.
Grab the red onion and chop off both ends. Cut the onion in half, then peel each side. Begin slicing the onion, and use your fingers to keep the onion in its shape.
Grab a large salad bowl. First, add a few pieces of lettuce, then top it with the tomatoes and onions. Repeat this step by layering the ingredients each time until it fills the bowl.
Top with Feta cheese and add in your dressing.
Optional: grab ciabatta bread and begin cutting into long slices. Cut those slices into smaller pieces and add to salad.
