This recipe is my mom’s homemade recipe. This is one of my favorite things to eat for dinner, even if we don’t eat it often.
Editor’s note: If you have a peanut, hoisin, garlic, or onion allergy please do not consume this.
Ingredients:
- Coconut oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 lb ground turkey
- Sesame seed sprinkle
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter
- 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- (optional) 1 tablespoon sweet and sour sauce
- 3 tablespoon water
- ½ teaspoon soy sauce
- Chopped peanuts
- Chopped cucumbers
- White rice
Instructions:
- Cook onion and garlic in heated coconut oil
- Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink
- Add peanut butter and stir
- Add hoisin sauce and stir
- Stir 1 cup water
- Sprinkle of soy sauce and combine until mixed
- Add chopped peanuts
- Mix well, then remove from heat
- Add fresh, small cucumbers on top of the turkey
- Serve over a bed of white rice
