Kelleigh Hogan is a junior at Horizon Honors, meaning it is her third year at Horizon Honors and in its journalism program. It is that journalism program that she cannot be more grateful for as it has improved her confidence and writing dramatically. Starting as a columnist then becoming Editor of Sports and Student Life of The Horizon Sun, Hogan has been placed in the position of Editor-in-Chief, which is thrilling because she can’t wait to help The Horizon Sun  blossom even more. Of course, she adores writing, but she also hopes to improve in her photography throughout this year; yet, her main goal will be helping all the columnists who make up the body of this paper reach their maximum potential.

Outside of journalism, she is occupied with her volunteer work among other hobbies, such as art and tennis. Hogan volunteers mainly with Maricopa Little League, taking on the role of Volunteer Coordinator along with coach, challenger body, and a board member of the organization. Otherwise, one can find Hogan busy with her schoolwork, reading, writing, playing tennis, spend time with friends or family, or spending time on art. As she has said every year, Hogan has high hopes and expectations for the upcoming year - whether it be with The Horizon Sun or with her personal life.

Kelleigh Hogan, Editor-in-Chief
